As a child I had always loved all thing Vintage, and family celebrations. As the years passed, I too became a little more vintage, and my passion for beautiful things grew. I was to continue my love organising and creating events for family and friends and became synonyms with vintage inspiration. After moving back the North West after sometime on the other side of the Pennines, I was to find myself working for a local company as an events coordinator, my dream job. Planning corporate events for between 10 and 200 delegates I was in my element.
After meeting my now husband and having two teeny tiny people and a china addiction to rival the potteries an idea formed, as did that need to organise and inspire. I undertook a course in Event and Hospitality Management as well as Event Design and Styling. Now fully qualified and with enough vintage china, props and miscellaneous tea party items I was ready to start a business, but where to start?
I was already in the wedding industry creating artificial bridal flowers and stationery, so knew the market and the trend for vintage from Art Deco deliciousness to 50’s finesse. Then my friend wanted a favour, as big one in his words. He wanted to ask his vintage loving partner to marry him and he knew just what to do. So armed with a vintage picnic basket full to the brim with 1920’s pieces he asked on a sunny, Sunday afternoon in Williamsons Park. I’m pleased to say announce they are to be married and on that day The Teeny Tiny China Company was born.
Offering beautiful antique and vintage tea sets, props and styling, I can create, manage and style from anniversaries to weddings and everything in between and with over 200 covers available no event it too big.
